From Porto Alegre to London, from Mathematics to Photography, please welcome our inspiring model with her inspiring life story – Jessica Lopes. With a degree in mathematics, Jessica Lopes 30 years old was born in Porto Alegre in Rio Grande do Sul / BR. Lutheran University of Brazil graduate, she taught for five years in high school. Before getting a degree in mathematics, still at 13, Jessica did her first model course and went on as a photographic model combining it with her profession:
” It’s my passion. I’ve always loved photography “
Even though Jessica was passionate about her profession, she opted to stop teaching and went on as a model:
“Even though I loved teaching I was not happy with my job, because being a teacher in Brazil is very complicated”
Working as a model Jessica had her first job on TV in a Brazilian stage program on REDE RECORD in São Paulo. Despite her small appearance, it was enough for Jessica to fall in love with the world of television, and after this participation, to leave permanently the classrooms and follow a solid career as a model.
Following these steps Jessica won her first beauty pageant related to football called “Gatas do Brasileirão” (Beautiful women of the Brazilian football championship). It was done by a famous news portal in Brazil (UOL). As a representative of one of the most famous and traditional Brazilian teams, Vasco da Gama. Being the job that launched Jessica in publishing. Also it made her receive an invitation by the channel MULTISHOW – GLOBO to join a famous Brazilian reality show called CASA BONITA. After her participation in this reality show she decided to enter the Miss Bumbum Brazil. This is the most famous beauty contest in Brazil. She participated in the first (2011) and the second edition (2012).
For her beauty and spotlight from the Brazilian media Jessica was invited to be a reporter of the competition by the RedeTV!

Soon after the Brazilian contest, Miss Bumbum opened a special edition. Brazilians chosen by the competition organization would represent the competition in other countries. It was then that Jessica was chosen to represent England and received the title of Miss Butt England. With this title Jessica starred in her first test for men’s magazine in Brazil (Sexy Magazine). The photos were taken in London in 2014.
Then she received invitation to “International Beauty Queen” audition, in the reality show. With this she became the only Brazilian to participate in the selection of the British reality show.
Recently Jessica faced a drama in her private life. In December 2015 she was diagnosed with cancer of the cervix. After a battle against the disease and to undergo two surgeries, Jessica received a new diagnosis in 2016. She was cured. Engaged in the cause, the model accepted the invitation of a Brazilian producer for a short film called “BELIEVE”

In the movie she accepted shaving her head as a way to draw attention on the prevention of the disease to others. Daily Mail featured the short film, alongside with news from major newspapers, websites and TVs in Brazil. In the short film Jessica also joined the campaign entitled #SmearforSmear campaign created by the NGO Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust. Campaign’s goal is to educate women about the disease.
Jessica also admits that Chelsea football team is one of her great passions. She’s packed and ready to go to England where she will try to pursue her dream of becoming the official muse of the team.
