Performance Tuning – CSR Racing 2

In the article below you will read about the performance tuning and the important stuff in this game.

First of all, let me point out that Natural Motions did a great job with CSR 2. Thank you for that!

Performance Tuning – CSR Racing 2

Now, almost every day I see questions on the crew chat or on the main chat:

  • What car to buy in what tier
  • How to tune this car, or how to tune that car?
  • What car do you have, and is it good?
  • Etc……..

All those questions are good, but they have another thing in common – this kind of thinking about the game is SO WRONG, on so many levels. By saying this, I’m really thankful to NM, that they made a complex game, that will push you to think, test, and spend time on it, before you hit the start button and race.

The article below is for ALL my CREW mates and all the guys and gals out there struggling to achieve a good performance in the game.

I am not going to talk about the features in the game. This article is about how to pick a car, how to set the car, and how TO WIN. Ok so let’s start.

The game has five tiers, and more than a dozen cars within each tier. Finding or better said Buying the best car per tier is relative and it depends only on the Driver/Player. When picking up a car – sometimes we will never know in front, we need to see if that car is for us, depending on the factor if we like Precise shifting car or Early shifting car. From my experience I’m a fan of Ferrari Spider 488 & McLaren 650S – both are early shift cars. In my garage I also have Bugatti Chiron – amazing car, but it seems to be a precise shifting car, and I’m struggling to get the best time with it.

Now if you read the part above, you are probably asking, what is Precise or Early shifting car, and what the hell is BEST TIME – also relative.

As I like to call them Precise cars, like from my experience Bugatti Chiron, is a type of car that you will always need to have PERFECT start on Live races, and always shift when the needle is on the green mark. On the other hand, Ferrari Spider 488 and the McLaren 650S require early shift to get the better time. When it comes to early shift try to shift to the next gear when the needle comes right before the orange area (way earlier than the green area). Also, try to keep the needle from going less than 5000 rpm – this way you will shift faster and accelerate faster.

KEEP IN MIND – lot of practice is needed to get this to perfection.

Let’s look above at the question on how to tune the car – well figure it out J. There is one rule, and one rule only to boost your performance and it is called – FUSION PARTS. Without having fusion parts in your car, you are not doing anything. Now, with this being said, I will answer the next questions, HOW TO TUNE A CAR? For T5 cars especially you will need to have at least 70 fusion parts inside and NO Stage 6. So keep this in mind LOT OF FUSION PARTS and Stage 5 parts update. WHY?

Performance Tuning

Take a look at the picture above. You will see 2 important things. CAR PP, currently on 698 and +Evo Tune, currently on 905. Keep in mind the + Evo tune will grow as I add more fusion parts to this car. Now with having the car’s PP on 698 that means that I will race LIVE races with cars that have same PP. the difference will come from my +EVO and how I race. Lets now see under the hood.

Performance Tuning

As you can see for my Engine I have all Fusion parts installed up to stage 5. I will not go to stage 6 until, well I get Stage 6 and I will mount it once I have at least 80% of the fusion part. Why am I saying this? Because if I put a stage 6 on my engine without fusion parts few things will happen:

  • I will have faster car for offline cups, regulation, crew cups, etc. which is good, but
  • If I enter in LIVE races my PP will be bigger, example around 704, but I will luck in fusion parts, and trust me, 9 out of 10 racers will bit me, which is not what we want.

I have test this so many times, so Fit a stage part only if you have fusion parts for it. IF NOT? WAIT!

Now a $1000000000000000 PERFORMANCE TUNING tip of how to get fusion parts faster. Wait! Let me start with the obvious tips:

  • Race like a maniac and get Bronze crates that will give you the parts
  • On your personal milestones wait to get a 10 miles per day – it will give you 80 bronze keys

Now the multi-billion tip, which requires having game money (at least one million). Win a Car – like this one for an example Spider 488. After that go to BUY CARS, and buy the same one.

Now most of you will say this guy is an idiot. Well duds. Once you buy the same car STRIP IT!!!!!!! It will give you 4 5 6 or more fusion parts. Install those parts on your *** Spider 488, or whatever car you have into your garage. On the other hand, it does not need to be Spider 488. Buy any Ferrari car that you can afford, strip it and BOOOM!!!!!!!

Now probably still few of you will ask for my tune on this car! Well here it is. But!!!!!!!!!
USE IT ONLY IF YOU HAVE THE ALL 5 STAGES and SAME Fusion parts, otherwise it will not work!!!!!

  1. NTR, what a thoroughly detailed and well written artical!!! Reading it certainly taught me a few things, for instance I’ve been adding all my stage six parts and then going back and adding my fusion parts afterwards. This may explain why I have trouble winning some live races with some of my highly tuned tier five cars. Myself and the crew really appreciate the effort put in to this article. I will recommend everybody read it to get ahead in the game. Now I’m going to browse the rest of the website, looks interesting.

    Thanks again!!
